Law of the student press

As part of its twentieth anniversary celebration, the Student Press Law Center published a new edition of its book Law of the Student Press. The new book, which, at 269 pages, is almost three times as long as the original edition, is divided into two sections: student press freedom and a press law handbook. While the book is extensively footnoted, the authors have intentionally avoided complicated "legal-ese" and attempted to bring the law to life for students and educators. Included are examples of common problems handled by the SPLC legal staff and practical suggestions for avoiding trouble.
